Week 3: Black and White

Confession time: I don’t usually take black and white photos because there are so many people doing that already that I don’t think mine would stand out. I find it more rewarding and enjoyable to capture color in all its hues and in different light. That’s more my style, yo.

But I have collected some cool pics in black and white over time, so I’m sharing those. I must confess I find it easy to take any picture, slap on a black and white filter and done, but the power is in choosing the photo. Finding that right amount of contrast. How much grey to include. Any subject will look interesting in black and white, but not every black and white photo will be interesting, will it?

I’m proud of this week’s results. And the response has been great! I’m gaining more confidence in taking on this 52-week photo challenge.
